Honey Nutrition Facts & Health Benefits

Honey Nutrition Facts &  Health Benefits

The sugar we all are accustomed to is produced in two principal ways, from beet or cane. In production sugar is extracted and refined, before consumption. Sugar is primarily made of sucrose.

Honey, on the other hand,  is made by bees using the nectar of flowering plants and stored in combs until when collected for use.

Honey is primarily made up of  Fructose, followed by glucose and sucrose. The sweet taste of honey is attributed to its higher fructose content, and fructose is known to be sweeter than glucose or sucrose.

From the above  explanation, we see that honey is sugar (contains sucrose), but it's sweeter, safer to use and it isn't inflammatory.

In addition to its use as a natural sweetener, honey is used as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial agent. People commonly use honey orally to treat coughs and topically to treat burns and promote wound healing.

On the other hand, sugar is indeed inflammatory!

All carbs are, having high levels of oxidation too, studies show that high-sugar diets may be linked to obesity, inflammation, insulin resistance, liver issues, and heart disease.

No,It's not just honey you see, you can use it from morning to night for a hundred different things, from a cup of tea, to a beauty aid, for it's anticancer property and most especially due to it's cholesterol reduction potential.

Sugars could damage the brain, dementia being one example. Damage blood vessels and predisposes one to heart disease.

The brain does NOT essentially need glucose from food. In the brain, excess sugar impairs both our cognitive skills and our self-control.

Over 85% of the brain preferentially works on ketones.Only that 15% functions quite happily on glucose from gluconeogenesis.

People who have diabetes or who are on sugar-restricted diets may choose to eat honey in moderation to avoid significant changes in their blood sugar levels. Pure honey has a glycemic index (GI) of 58, meaning it has a medium effect on blood sugar levels.

Whilst table sugar has been shown repeatedly to increase blood sugar levels to deleterious heights depending on the amount taken, it is also alleged to feed cancer cells and ensure their longevity.

Also, since Many cough medicines are not safe for younger children to take, so honey may be a good alternative for children over one year of age.Raw honey may have a soothing effect on digestion, helping with symptoms of diarrhea.

If you're on the sweet side of life and are a sugar addict, you might want to consider switching over to honey use today!

ANTIMICROBIAL ABUSE IN LIVESTOCK FARMING

What problem could one encounter while consuming livestock? First, antibiotics are used to prevent, treat and control bacterial infections in livestock. Just like humans, animals can contract infections, such as pneumonia. As a case study,Pork is the world's second most consumed meat, accounting for roughly 35% of total meat consumption. China, the United States, and the European Union are the world's largest pork producers, accounting for roughly 80% of total pork production. A study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that pork had significantly higher levels of antibiotics than chicken, beef, and lamb. https://bringsconserve.com/qp970858?key=0b6d33fbbd24ee17ba922b2bfaf034ef  Antibiotics are used in the breeding process primarily because they reduce disease and mortality in pigs while also rapidly increasing pig weight.
